The City of Minot is planning street improvements along 3rd Street and Central Avenue in two segments:



Segment 1 (tentatively 2027):

• 3rd Street – 2nd Ave SE to 1st Ave NE
• Central Ave E – 3rd Street to 4th Street

Segment 2 (TBD):

• 3rd Street – 5th Ave SE to 2nd Ave SE

Note: The 3rd Street bridge is not part of this project. Any future work on the bridge will be handled separately.

Project Goals:

• Replace pavement with new concrete
• Evaluate and improve lane configurations and traffic flow
• Upgrade pedestrian and bicycle facilities
• Improve utilities (storm, sanitary, watermain)
• Replace traffic and pedestrian signal systems
• Enhance streetscape aesthetics in line with previous downtown projects
• Design the railroad crossing to support potential future Quiet Zone implementation
